WITNESS 2020: We Invite You to Join Our Stream About Digital Twins
Participants will have a unique opportunity to get current information from the world of digital twins and dynamic simulations.
WITNESS 2020: Digital Twin in Practice
The online streaming session is going to take place on the 3th of December 2020, from 14 to 17 pm on the DYNAMIC FUTURE YouTube channel, for free. Registered guests will get the link 30 minutes before it starts.
The program is designed to present news in the field and give insight into its use in practice.
You can be looking forward to the following professionals:
Jiri Knajfl (ON Semiconductor Czech Republic LLC):
Evaluation of cluster devices’ capacity in the semiconductor industry using (WITNESS) simulation
Cluster devices in the semiconductor industry are located in several technical configurations. Whether that’s the number of chambers where there are silicon wafers made or easy/double manipulation robot inside the device manipulating with the wafers between those chambers or other technological specifics. The goal of simulation is to find the best possible configuration in terms of its permeability in regards to the current point of production, including its product structure.
Jan Jungwirt, Vojtech Soukup (Magna Bohemia):
Using a digital twin when developing an automated paint shop planning
The entry is about using a simulation model in the form of a logistic process’ digital twin as a tool when developing an automated paint shop planning. The main part of the logistic process is supplying the paint shop with painting parts. They are made synchronously in the injection molding plant and through buffer tanks, they head to the paint shop. Another source is a warehouse that contains all the made parts asynchronously.
An overhead conveyor is the manipulation tool among the injection plant, warehouse and the paint shop. The main function of the developed planning instrument is to create a paint shop plan in accordance with the injection plant while using the synchronous production principle that secures the minimum handling requirements. A digital twin of supplying a paint shop is therefore used to assess the quality of the made plan in the perspective of parts’ source.
Zdenka Videcka (VUT Brno)
Process management laboratory
The process management laboratory for the practical learning program of the Faculty of Business and Management of Brno University of Technology. The lab equipment consists of tools to simulate intelligent factories for company process management, such as professional information systems and systems based on the digital twins technology, technical equipment and management-simulation games. That enables students to get the much needed skills from real management of processes and familiarize themselves with advanced systems and technologies.
Jiri Holik (Lanner Global Delivery Team)
“As a person, I wouldn’t want to meet my digital twin. However, when it comes to enterprises, it is a trend in the current world of simulation. The key benefits of this solution help to perceive the process better, as well as plan it, make effective decisions and put them into practice immediately. In my entry, I would like to introduce you to the ever developing study from Slovakia, where a digital twin is assessing the impact of strategic proposals of everyday life when it comes to an automated warehouse with overhead transport.”
